Environmental Engineer 1
I am working as a Process (Environmental) Engineer at the Philadelphia Water Dept. I completed a PhD in Chemical Oceanography from Louisiana State University.
I have graduate degree in environmental engineering (MS, University of Connecticut) and my undergraduate degree was completed in India in Electronics and Communications engineering (B.Tech).

My doctoral research focus was to examine the role of iron in carbon preservation in marine sediments. I worked extensively in the coastal LA both in wetland and open ocean systems. My research interest include but are not limited to marine sediment chemistry, ocean acidification, nutrient pollution, coastal hypoxia. I published a paper on the P release from sediments undergoing seasonal hypoxia in the Gulf of Mexico.
